Overview

• Entry of car information into a database. You enter owners name, car number, and category (see next bullet). The system assigns a control ID to each car.
• Cars can be assigned to categories (i.e., Weblos, Wolves, etc.) which are user specified. Categories are used to determine winners for groups contestants.
• User specified number of lanes (up to 6).
• User specified number of scoring places and points for each place (i.e., 7 points for 1st place, 3 points for 2nd place, etc.)
• Scheduling of cars using the Stearns method. The Stearns method attempts to have all cars race all other cars and to have each car race in each lane the same number of times. Winners are not determined until all races have been run, keeping all contestants interested until the end of the derby.
• User specifed estimated races per hour and amount of time the derby should last. Using the stearns method, the more races run the better, but time has to be taken into consideration.
• Results can be recorded manually using Windows Drag and Drop or automatically if you are using the Fast Track timer with the serial option from MicroWizard
• View reports both on screen or print to paper.
• Reports include: List of Cars, Race Schedule, Race Results - overall and by category

• Derby Assistant requires Microsoft Window 3.1 or Win 95.
• Derby Assistant is shareware. You can install and run the program for evaluation purposes for free. If you decide to use it to run a derby, you are required to submit $10 to the author.
