"Dream" is the master server for the EsperNet network. "Weyr" is second best. In an ideal world/internet, you would connect to the server closest to you. However, this is not a perfect world and most of the long-timers in the channel use dream as their server no matter where they are located. Don't forget to set the port numbers correctly as the two primary servers do not use any of the "standard" IRC ports and connecting to those ports will actually put you on Dalnet, which is definately the wrong place to be.
