About Us

We are Aimee and Levi Walker. The picture you see is the photo taken just after we got married in Jamaica. We are a very honest, down to earth couple. We believe in life’s basic values: working hard, loving whole-heartedly and respecting each other and our environment.

Levi says, “Aimee is my best friend, my soul mate. She is the one who rekindled the fire in my heart. She is my ‘heartsfire’. Though my head is usually in the clouds, Aimee is my grounding. She keeps me in perspective on what is truly important in our life together.”

Aimee says: “Levi is the half of us that maintains humor in serious moments, gives fresh perspectives in stale situations, and keeps life simple when I try to make it overly complicated. Levi is healthy and always encouraging exercise so that we can both live until the ripe old age of 120, at the very least.”

Our home environment is very rich yet happily simple. Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a large fenced in back yard. We try to keep the place well manicured both inside and out. Levi built a stairway that travels up the hill in the backyard that is made out of large stones. After climbing the stone stairway in our backyard, you can see our vegetable garden, pecan trees, grape vines, and blueberry bushes. There are also blackberry vines nearby. We enjoy improving the landscape of our home by planting flowers and bushes and keeping the trees, shrubs and grass trimmed and neat. We have great schools in the area and we are close to shopping, parks, restaurants, and other conveniences. There are several children in the neighborhood including many on our immediate block. Overall, we are very happy with our neighborhood, our neighbors and the thriving city in which we live.

We have three adopted shelter animals, two dogs and one cat. Their names are Star, Trek and Pretty Girl (PG for short.) Can you guess who is who in the pictures? Trek and Star love to alternate high-energy play and relaxation all throughout the day. Whenever they see us, they always come running with a wagging tail and lots of love. Their favorite time is taking long walks around the neighborhood. PG is a great natural hunter and just loves keeping the neighborhood chipmunk population to a minimum. When she is not hunting she quietly spends her time seeking any heat source she can find, generally that means sitting on our laps! The remainder of the time PG enjoys running around and showing off by climbing trees when she is active.

Aimee says: “Levi is simple at heart and has a great sense of detail, style and quality. He is very patient and always finds humor in most situations. One of Levi’s passions is flying. He owns a small plane (shown at right) and has had a pilot’s license ever since he was 21. He loves to fly around to regional airports and sample nearby cuisine while having fun and meeting new people. He has also recently completed a certification to legally perform mechanical and structural work on his own and others airplanes. Levi’s second favorite passion is working out. Levi is in the gym 4+ days a week. After completing his first two smaller scale triathlons, he looks forward to entering his first regular sized triathlon. What a catch he is!”

Levi says: “Aimee tends to be serious and a hard worker, she takes every opportunity she can to improve herself through school and online learning. However she can be very spontaneous and fun when not at work. She is dependable, honest and makes a conscious effort to think positive. One of Aimee’s favorite hobbies is growing things. In the summertime she maintains a garden full of whatever she wants to plant that year. Her love of gardening combines well with her desire to eat healthy. Year round the house has plants in most rooms. When not growing things, Aimee enjoys continuing to enlarge her Spanish vocabulary, spending time with her animals, and playing adventure games on the computer.“

Our families live both near and far. Levi was born and raised in the area in which we live. Therefore, the majority of his family lives very near to us. His mom, sisters, brothers and other extended family are only miles away. We tend to see them quite frequently, especial during holidays and celebrations. On the other hand, Aimee was born in the North East region and has lived in numerous areas of the US with her family while growing up. As a result, Aimee has an Aunt who lives in our hometown but mostly her family lives in different regions of the US including California, New York and Wisconsin. Aimee either travels to see her family or her family travels to see her when plans can be arranged among everyone’s schedules. Below is a snapshot of various people on both sides of the family.

We both had our fair share of difficult challenges as we were growing up. These challenges that we endured marked our lives quite greatly. In order to overcome these challenges, we did the best we could with what we knew and the skills we had at the time. We may not have always succeeded at first, but we never gave up. As a result, in our adult lives, we carry great strength, courage, discipline, and deeply rooted morals. We have both made vows to never let the negative things we experienced as young people carry over into the lives of our children. As you may be able to gather, we always try to do what is right, rather than taking the easy way out. – Aimee & Levi
