Read N Roar
At the 2002 National Convention, Phi Mu Fraternity introduced a new
philanthropy program called Read N Roar. Chapters participating in Read N Roar collect children's books for area schools, hospitals, and
after-school programs. While delivering the books, Phi Mus are encouraged to
stay and join in story time.
The Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter is
collecting books for ages 2 to 18. To
donate, please write
winstonsalem@phimueo.org. We will be happy
to pick up the books from your location. |

Children's Miracle Network
Children's Miracle Network is Phi Mu's primary philanthropy
focus. Some 160 children's hospitals nationwide benefit from collegiate and
alumnae chapter fund-raising events yearly. All monies raised stay in the
local community for patient care, new equipment and research into children's
diseases, illnesses, and injuries. Since 1986, Phi Mus have raised almost $4
million. Phi Mu's fundraising goal is $500,000 each calendar year. Donations
should be made payable to CMN and mailed to Phi Mu Foundation, 3558
Habersham at Northlake, Tucker, GA 30084 by December 31. |

National Philanthropy Day
In 1998, Phi Mu was proud to be the first NPC group to establish National
Philanthropy Day on the third Monday of October. Annually, Phi Mus gather to
share their skills and energies to make the world a better place by
dedicating themselves to "hands on" community service. Phi Mus everywhere
can be proud of the part their Fraternity plays in continuing the proud
tradition of giving, caring and sharing. |
